Offset printers and customers wanting to have their forms printed may use the InDesign or Illustrator versions of this form to prepare camera-ready artwork that is ready for offset printing.

Use this form first to initially propose your work and don't confuse your customer by showing him long and confusing legal documents and contracts from the start. Propose your work in an easy to read form rather than using legal documents, you will find it to be a more effective tool in obtaining the job.

When filling out a proposal, do take the time to list out detailed specifications on all the work and services that you will be providing, don't just say “install new gutters,” instead list all gutter specifications including brand, manufacturer, type, styles, colors, etc., the more detailed that you are, the better! It is also a good idea to place your roofing warranty right on your bid proposal this gives peace of mind to your customer right from the start, also take with you other marketing materials such as a copy of the warranty certificate, all these small details add up to your credentials and professionalism as a roofer/contractor and helps build customer confidence in your proposed work and services which will make a huge difference when choosing you over the other contractors.

Keep in mind that you aren't just ”dopping off a bid proposal” you are selling yourself and services to your potential customer, so make it easy for the customer to choose you over the others, this form is a great starting point and after you get your customer's approval to proceed with work, then bring out the legal stuff (contracts and documents), not before!
